VASTU PAVILION

LOCATION: INDIA, BANGALORE

YEAR: 2016 -

GFA: 100 SQM

STATUS: COMMISSIONED

The entrance pavilion’s iconic design was inspired by the Indian architectural order Vastu Purusha. In this order, the architectural plan is organized according to a symbolic square with an interior nesting pattern which is known as the Vastu Purusha Mandala. By reimagining the Mandala three-dimensionally the inherent geometry of the Vastu Purusha becomes apparent in the enclosed space. According to the traditional Hindu system of architecture, Vastu Shastra, if the house is designed as per the Vastu Purushu Mandala, a perfectly balanced environment that ensures health, wealth, and happiness is created.
